Through whakapapa connections across Taitokerau and extensive experience in community service and local government, Sheila is dedicated to serving our people. As a Chartered Accountant with expertise in strategic planning and governance, Sheila brings both strong relationship skills and the ability to deliver meaningful outcomes for all communities.
Sheila believes effective governance requires understanding not just reports, but also the cultural and spiritual ties that bind us. Her goal is to ensure Council decisions and services are rooted in shared values, supporting a sustainable and connected future for generations to come.
Sheila is focused on strengthening community connections, honouring Māori knowledge and traditions, ensuring equitable housing, promoting transparent leadership, and prioritising investments that support people and their whenua.
